Tamani Ghats- The Best Place To Visit During Monsoon Near Mumbai and Pune With Waterfalls To enjoy Rains With Group

If You are Looking for one of the best locations to visit during Monsoons but the place should be isolated so that you can enjoy more, I think I have a Hidden Spot which If you visit, will not disappoint you!

Generally I dont like to take my family and visit places which are crowded with Mob of drunk people, Strangers and groups of unknown people. That is not my take on what a Day Picnic outing near Mumbai and Pune is.

Frankly I hate to be in the crown,May be I am what they call Claustrophobic!

I will let you in on a Picnic Spot near Mumbai called Tamani Ghats. Well tamani lays around 120 kms from Mumbai and 110 kms from Pune on the konkan Side at Raigad.

My Journey  Starts-

I left with my Family at around 11 am from New Panvel and took the Old Mumbai Pune Highway passing Khopoli and taking the Road to Pali straight.

Passing from Pali I took the Pali Ravalje Road with took us to Vile Village which is at the Foot steps of Tamani Ghats.

The drive is lonely and fresh.

If you dont like to drive in through the jungle,I suggest you take the Mumbai Goa Road and take a Left Turn after 1 km from Kolad on towards Vile Village.

That way you will have traffic as a company upto Kolad from Mumbai..

Tamani ghats as said earlier is one of the Best Hidden and Unexplored One Day Picnic Spot near Mumbai and Pune During Monsoons.

After you take the Left from Kolad and reach Vile Village,You will reach a beautiful restaurant called ORCHARD Resort Cafe which is a ideal for a small break before you start climbing the TAMANI GHATS.

You can take a break, Have some refreshments here.

Lets Climb The Ghats To Reach Heaven-

So after taking a Brief Stop at the Orchard Resort cafe which is at the Foothills of the Tamani Ghats, We started the climb.

Its not much of a climb actually,hardly 5 to 8 kms. 

The Roads are too good, well maintained and surroundings are completely Green.

Thick forest, Green Foliage coveres mountains and Waterfalls.. So many.

You know at a glance when you look at these Tamani Ghats you come across more than 50 Small Waterfalls.

Below in the picture I thing you an Count around 4 to 5, as it is a small frame picture.

So we drived through the Ghats watching waterfall after waterfalls and then came the time to reach the Top.  

At the TOP of the Ghats comes a Place which is an boundary Of Raigad and Pune.

So it is there where the Raigad District  ends and Pune District Starts.

On One side of the Mountains are Mountains and on the other side is the valley. we can see a complete view of the Raigad from this location,

The Small mountains, Roads, Valley and small villages.

The Scenic Spread, Clouds, Waterfalls, Mountains, Valley and overall atmosphere is what makes tamani Ghats one of the best all round One Day Picnic Spots Near Mumbai and Pune.
